Classics Club - Spring 2025

Classics Club is open to Middle School Students (Grades 7 and 8)

Day/Time: Tuesdays, 5:00-6:15pm

Dates: April 8, 15, 22, 29, May 6, 13, 20, 27

Cost: $100

Description: Classics Club is for any Middle School student who is interested in learning more about Ancient Mediterranean Culture, Archaeology, Literature, Architecture and Language. We will engage in different projects throughout the school-year to better understand ancient themes. We will also delve into lessons concerning how we, especially Americans, are influenced today by ancient civilizations while gaining a rudimentary understanding of Latin. Our study of Latin will have two goals: 1. To understand English at its root levels (grammar and vocabulary) and 2. Give students the confidence to enroll in Latin courses in high school.
