Summer Assignments

Ratner School Primary (Grades 1-4) and Middle School (Grades 5-8) students are expected to complete summer assignments.

Assignments for the 2017-2018 school year are listed below. Completed assignments should be handed in on the first day of the 2017-2018 school year.

GRADES 1 AND 2

Rising 1st and 2nd Grade students should complete a minimum of 20 minutes of reading per day over the summer. Students are encouraged to join their local library summer reading programs. These programs are free, and they help to make summer reading a fun project. Follow this link to learn more about the Cuyahoga County Library 2017 Summer Reading Program.

IXL: IXL is a resource for current students throughout the year, including the summer, to practice math and language arts concepts. It is accessible online at http://www.ixl.com/signin/lbrs. Students use the username and password information given to them during the school year. They can contact their teacher if they forget the username and/or password. Once logged on, they can choose a wide variety of concepts to practice that are at their grade level and are matched to standards. Students new to Ratner for 2017-2018 will receive a log-in when the school year begins.
