The Annual Fund: Your Investment in Ratner!
Why does Ratner need an Annual Fund?
Tuition at Ratner covers about 80% of our expenses. A significant portion of the funds needed to cover expenses comes from the Ratner Annual Fund. To cover the actual cost of educating a student, we would need to instate a significant tuition increase. Such an increase would affect the diversity of our school community, and make us less competitively priced than other area schools. We keep tuition below what it costs to run the school – leaving a gap between tuition revenue and operating expenses. We count on a successful Annual Fund to cover this tuition gap. Tuition dollars come out of a family’s post-tax dollars; gifts to the Annual Fund are tax-deductible.
Every gift to the Annual Fund is significant – no matter how large or small – and each gift will have an impact on the students at Ratner!
Your gift helps to support initiatives such as student financial aid, enrichments programs, professional development, and academic programs for the students.
Foundations and corporations are always interested in the percentage of participation of our families, staff, and Board of Trustees. Quite simply, the higher the percentage of people who have given to the Ratner Annual Fund in key constituencies (like “current families” and “alumni”), the more inclined foundations and other grantors are to support the school. That’s a major bonus!

A matching gift to Ratner may be possible through your job. Please inquire with the Finance Office () regarding the necessary paperwork to receive these funds.
